I think it's time for one in the near future. Hoppy has expressed an interest, anyone else feel the need for a Cherub meet? I suppose that location in the middle of everyone is the main deciding factor, but I don't know where people live/sail and where is the best place. I would think Grafham or Draycote (as last years seem to be nothing but good fun!) myself. I have no problem with organising something, I just need to know when people will be available and where is good.

I prefer draycote over Grafham, its a more central location. Normally get better sailing too.

i would go with draycote as well as they already have some cherubs/12 ft skifs there usually very welcoming

If everyone puts their location in their profiles you can click on the member map link at the top and see where the clusters are

Draycote sounds like a good idea

I am not fussed either way Draycote or Grafham would suit me as the distance to get to either is not much different although i am boat less at the moment so if it before april i cant make it

There are two ways I see of organising it. Setting a date and hope for the best wind/weather wise or keep an eye on the weather and sort it out at say, a week in advance. Draycote looks like the location, so what about time? I was thinking of the last weekend of March (29-30), the same as last year plus it's my 18th on the 31st. But on the other hand it's the Weston Grand Slam just a few days before that.
What were the arrangements with regards to sailing at Draycote last year? To turn up, launch and sail costs £20 a day, but I'm sure you managed to come to an alternative agreement.
hmmmm
EDIT: The Weston sailing club website says the Grand Slam isn't until April 6th. ???

Ross,
Are you sure that you checked the right year as the 2008 program on the weston site gives 21st-24th of march for the Grand Slam.

Dean and I are up for a blast weekend, providing it dosn't clash with work ( new owners of Loco Perro)
