We are planning to take Loco, as long as others are going.
-

-
And maybe Dans new boat, Dan? We're picking his up this Thursday.

-
It is the plan!

-
well forecast is looking good for weston looking forward to trying out my new rudder
-
Whoa!
Can you talk us through it Neal?
-
She be a monster Neal!
I've added material to both my case and daggerboard and upon the first test fit there is not a cat in hells chance of it fitting! Oh good, might have to get medieval with it! ::)
-
That could slow you down a bit Tim. Especially when everyone else appears to going for longer boards.
It sounds like a 'proper job' is required, taking a bit of floor out and feinforcing the join between the case and the hull from the inside.
-
Stanley needs a couple of days work so I will not be there :-[. The forecast looks awesome so have a good weekend!
-
will go through it over beers at weston if i;m still alive
-
so how did weston go? i know the event i'd planned to go to local was called off due to excessive wind but guessing you guys and gals got some sailing in on the saturday at least?
-
I went sailing today and got a bit wet sailing the 3000. I would have got completley nailed in Flat Stanley.
-
We got three races in on Saturday and some boats went for a play today although racing was cancelled.
Pete Barton and Ros dominated all three races in Ronin. Winning one race on the water and finishing another in second behind the 49er. With three handicap wins they are not helping our PY for next year. I was please to get on the water with James Askew in the front of Slippery. I think we have another person hooked on Cherubs. We saw a bit more of Roland and Hayley in Born Slippy than we hae been used too but Roland was a bit peived that their straight line speed didn't convert in to leading us at the finish. Something to do with 3 tacks and a gybe to get round the windward mark.
Neil had his first play with his T-foil and found he needed a little more negative angle for going down wind. 'POWER'!! He also fell asleep in Ian christie's tent and got drawn on by some 12 foot skiff sailors. If any of that sounds wrong. It isn't. All factually correct and all above board. ZAMBOOKA!
This was preceeded by a trip to the Popadum Express.
Sunday: Paul and Tim turned up with Cheese just as everyone else was surfacing. A lot of indecision followed as the wind built. Finally they canned the racing and The big cheese went for a play along with R&H. and some skiffs. We chickened out!

Neal in a coma

Sorry we didn't make it - hope you all had a good time.
It seems ridiculous now that on Friday I really thought we coudl be sailing on Saturday!
Anyway, the rig has now been up, the jib track, kite sock, gantry, t foil system, cleats, blocks, trapezes, trapeze adjusters, ropes, pole system, pole, pole ends, uppers, shrouds, D2s, lowers, gooseneck, are all on, as it the kicker tang, the jib sheeting system and
The progrip is half on and the wingbars are going on today. it is all progress....
-
I couldn't view the photo's. iain.
Probably something to do with permisions at my end.
-
i wasnt in a coma i was merely resting my liver
-
think someone needs to sort the angle of the t foil on cheese, looks to have a bit too much downwards force
-
Sorry that we didn't make it with Loco. We broke down on the way, and as we could smell burning and see smoke in the car, stopping seemed sensible. It looks like you had fun!
