Just found this dudes site when browsing for new tiller extensions. Quite an interesting idea for those with more time than money!

would have thought that by the time you've bought all the materials its going to be a touch more expensive than a £10 (carbon) carp net rod? plus at 180g must be heavier than it. good find though

I agree. Still interesting though. Reckon I'd be really careful with the extensions if I had made them... would never break it!

I built a pair a few years ago, out of glass carbon, I broke one first time out, howver I repaired it and reinforced the other one in the same place where it went over the gunnal. I switched to them after I got cramp using the bamboo down the back of cumbraes.
I think his will be a lot more robust than a carp rod.
