Sheppy always delivers a fantastic weekend. We're looking forward to it already.
-
If anyone fancies coming to Sheppy then please get in touch (preferably PM me or post below).
We can match boats/helms/crews and already have a few slots to play with.

Looking at the Si's it shows one start for all classes.
I have emailed the race officer to see if we can have our own start, however an idea of numbers is always helpful ( the more entries we have the better case we have) please post here to indicate your intentions.
-
Maybe a roll call is in order - please modify to add your boat:
Ellenor
Atum
Riot Van (Probably)
Badgers (believe it) - I dont - Multi edit: I don't know who you are!
Cool Beans
Evo (I or II)
Loco
Cheese Before Bedtime (if allowed)
Confirmed misses:
A+E
Sweet Dreams
-
A+E if half sorted.
-
Quite important Simon, any idea how many we'd have to make ?
-
I'm still waiting for a reply, but the 4000's seem to be getting around 8 entries to events, I may be wrong but if we wish to be considered for a seperate start we need to be the biggest fleet. I am at the club on Sunday so may see the RO there.
-
Lovely as Sheppy is we will unfortunately be here so can't attend

Please think of us shivering in late snows here in the UK...
-
Lets aim for 10, Nigel ? Ade ? can we tempt you to Kent ? how about any more of the west country boys ? (I know, I know I didnt make Chew)
-
It might be snowing in the Midlands Torchy, but I was told that Sheppy is a bit like the Bahamas.

Head a mile or two up stream and you're sailing on the Med....
-
Graham....I believe Ade is coming to Sheppey.
Loco is game and Jamie and Digby are planning to hitch a lift on the double stacker with Cheese Before Bedtime, as long as Jamie has recovered from nearly being picked up by the girl in the chippy on the way home from Chew...
...but as for Sheppey being like the Bahamas? That's up there with 'My little beach hut in Dudley...near the canal' (bring your own shopping trolley)
-
So 9/10 boats so far. I note Banshee Ambulance is a possible and there are some more to chase.
-
as long as Jamie has recovered from nearly being picked up by the girl in the chippy on the way home from Chew...
Horrific moment.
-
sounds like a good story this, more analysis of the 'pick up' situation is requested... were they good chips?
Sweet Dreamzzz is a no for Sheppey. We have decided we need more practice time and less travelling time. At Chew we spent too much time in the water instead of on it. So we will therefore be sailing at home - trying to improve. We will be up for Weston and the rest though.

Yeah,...you got more chips than me...horrific (what have you got that I haven't?...apart from looks, hair, youth and no beard)
-
I saw the race officer on Sunday, he is happy for us to have a seperate start and was going to bring it up at the committee meeting on Monday night. This will depend on having enough boats, but seemed happy with around 8/9.
The other side of the coin is that sometimes its great to see how you do against other classes, and they could just seperate the results for the travellers if we wish.
-
I am afraid that I we are unlikely to be at Sheppey. We have had enough of the weather and are booking a week away.
We also still have some bits to do on A+E and have not yet sailed her.
Clive.

I'm a definite possible depending on which time zone I think i'm in at the time, and assuming that North korea don't attack Seoul whilst I'm still here...

Excellent. Please can someone have a word with the weatherman, we must be due some warm sunshine by now...
-
Done, weather will be fine.
-
Good work. Can you fix me a hangover cure for Saturday morning as well?
-
The water will still be cold enough to cure any hangover.
-
A pint of it will replace any salt lost through dehydration too.
-
A hangover cure for Saturday? Start as you mean to carry on I suppose. Do you know which shiny ship you will be bringing?
-
Can I ask who will require bed/ floor space?
-
charlie Sam and I, please Si. can bring tents etc if it helps.
-
Not me Si, so you can rent the presidential suite at maximum rates
-
We're sorted thanks Si. We've gone for the Fawlty Towers option again ;D
-
Sorry Ben looks like you get maximum rates, still it's better than tents in our delightfull climate.
-
Flowery Twats ?
-
Thought you'd been on the rum a bit early Graham, but I get it now... :)
-
8:17 is a bit late for me Neil :)

At a conference on Friday that has a reputation for an excess of booze and a lack of sleep. Travel from Stratford upon Avon to Sheppey early Saturday morning could be interesting. Have promised my roomy i won't wake her up when i leave.
New boat won't be ready so it'll be BS or Evo.
-
Had a word with the weather man, currently showing a relative heat wave for this weekend 17 on Sunday!
-
Hi si..
I've just secured a ride and was wondering if it was possible to request if their was some floor space available for Saturday night?
Thanks
Nick
-
No problems Nick your more than welcome. What are you sailing and who with?
-
For anyone staying with me, my postcode is ME12 2BX there is lots of space for car parking and trailers in the car park opposite the house. The club opperates a strict no car policy in the compound due to a lack of space, so please drop boats off and remove cars to the car park.
Looking forward to this one so lets hope for favourable conditions.
-
Hi Simon, I'll be sailing with nick, hopefully in ronin. Could I possibly also have some floor space please? Cheers, alex
-
Of course Alex, great to see another boat at the event.
-
After day 1 Eleanor is lying 1st and Born Slippy 2nd. No prizes for guessing what the conditions were. BS enjoyed some aerial action. Crew is sore but very very happy.
-
No racing today.
-
I had a peek at the IOSSC webcam about 12 noon. Couldn't understand why there was nothing much happening. Then spotted the numbers in the corner "32mph / F6-7". Bad luck guys.
-
That's a real shame but can't wait to hear about Saturday's racing...Eleanor and BS...awesome.
We had to duck out because of last minute work problems but were already reconciled to only racing on Saturday. Sounds like we'd have been upside down most of the time even on Saturday, which makes me feel better about missing it.

Match report to follow. Yesterday was fantastic, and Sheppey gave us a warm welcome, so well worth the trip.

Match report now up on the home page.
