Hotel Trim available for floor and bed space.

			-
Book me a space please, I'll have a sail on my birthday!

			-
Birthday may mean you also get a bed, but you'll have to fight to get the "presidential suite" :-)

			-
I'm not sleeping with Simon, Birthday or not !

			-
				That's what they all say.

			-
				That's great work Paul.
a few years ago several of us asked if cherubs could sail at the chew asymmetric open and were told that is was for a few particular classes.
It's not what you know.

			-
It is a good target for EJ's return.

			-
Count us in.  What are the plans for Sat night?  No rush but at some point we'll either book the pub near the club or elsewhere if the club won't be the venue for evening beers.

There are two basic themes and we are open to suggestions:
1) Hayley and I are happy to host a repeat of the 2012 February BBQ. Sadly this will be minus the dumper truck, but with a similar sized grill, in the warmer month of March and with a house that should be finshed. We are a 15 minute drive from Chew. After food, people would not need to drive anywhere before finding some floor space/beds/heated garage loft space or there are some reasonable paid-for accomodation options near BS31.
Note 1 : Closest paid accomodation to ours is The Crown - this is could be considered a bit of a dive (and may be closed or refurbished by then). 100m away is the posher "Old Manor House" - if people are interested then we can call in and ask for some better rates.
Note 2 : "Dean and Si's" room was put together today, the "Presidential suite" and the spare room have yet to be reserved.
2) There is an apparently good curry house that also does good pub grub within walking distance of the club, if people would prefer to stay nearer the club. However, the club does not stay open past 6pm and there is no camping on site (unless you pretend to be an all night fisherman and that is expensive). The club provides a good list of options for places to stay near-by http://www.chewvalleysailing.org.uk/places-to-stay (http://www.chewvalleysailing.org.uk/places-to-stay).
Either way, accomodation at ours open to any cherubists - if you are new please feel invited.

Good info Roland Thanks. We'll be there and would like to lay claim to the usual place if possible. Cheers, G.

			-
Sweet Dreamzzz is up for it, again, now on the calender. We would like to stay as well - prob just Joe and me.

Presidential suite duly reserved.
Ade, you and Joe are very welcome.
Looking forward to this v much - can we squeeze in even more people than in Feb? Of course, we'll have one more functioning bedroom  ;D

			-
Some accomodation would be available at ours.  We are about another 25 minutes away from Chew than R and H. Bed and floor space.

			-
				Event details updated
NOR available, start times and entry fees published

			-
Can we be really cheeky and stay on Friday night also?

			-
No problem. Everyone welcome friday too.

			-
Trim address is near BS31 2BG.
There are some fairly good B&Bs within walking distance of us (and plenty of floor/beds). The Crown which was voted "grottiest B&B in the world" by PJ last year has sadly gone bust, been redecorated and now may not do rooms.

Hello, me and Digby are hopefully coming to this, but our transport has dropped out, what's the nearest train station?

			-
Transport to Bristol on Friday or early Sat AM.
Looks like the Draycote 4 will be Cheese and Badgers. Need to confirm soon.

			-
I have a double stacker coming down from Birmingham to Chew Sat AM...I can pick up a boat from Draycote or Neen Sollars Friday night

			-
Having read the NOR I notice that they refer to RS standard SI's.  I appreciate that these are not available on the Chew Valley site yet but do we know what changes these SI.s make to the Rules and if there is anything we should be particlarly aware of?

			-
Link to RS Association Standard SI's
http://www.rssailing.org/docs/RS_SI_2012.pdf (http://www.rssailing.org/docs/RS_SI_2012.pdf)
There doesn't look like there is anything out of the ordinary. A couple of things that standout,
1. You can touch a mark, but not manhandle it if that results in an advantage
2. Minimum windspeed 4 knots
3. Penalty, 1 turn rather than 2 for certain RS classes, I would assume that we would be included in this
4. Races can be brought forward to allow for inclement weather
See you all there, let's hope for good weather

			-
As the laps can be crazy at Chew, it would probably be best to also suggest GP  finishes.
Am fairly sure that is standard.

			-
Sorry, we're not going to be able to make this one....

			-
Un fortunately our boat is not going to be ready either.
We are now aiming for an Easter launch at HISC.
It is frustrating I have fond memories of Chew from my time at Bath University. and was looking forward to returning.

Still up for this, hope fully the snow and ice is temporary.

			-
We will be there, looking forward to racing Cool Beans for the first time

			-
Making arrangements with Digby and Jamie to get Cheese Before Bedtime there in addition to Loco who might have to be wearing his little doggie coat Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!

			-
Looking forward to this weekend - there will be a warm welcome at ours despite the chilly temperatures outside.
All welcome on Friday night as well as Saturday. There will be food on Friday on a take it or leave it basis (spaghetti bolognese is currently the front runner).
Saturday evening will be a BYO BBQ - we'll provide BBQ and essentials (bread, some sausages, ketchup) - bring whatever else you want to cook and eat (preferably dead or at least unconscious). Vegetarians will be allowed to use the oven if preferred  :)
The club will be doing bacon butties etc in the morning, so breakfast will be tea and toast.
There are beds for 6 (I am open to bribery, otherwise it's whoever shouts first). Then there is loads of floor space so bring your sleeping bags.
PM or email me if you need directions.
See you all at the weekend!

			-
Are you allowed to eat vegitarians dead or unconscious?

			-
Hi Hayley...I will bring sleeping bag and tent just in case the garden is the only quiet place  :) ....seriously, if you'd seen where I bivvi'd a couple of weekends ago, your garden would be luxury and happy to leave bedrooms to less hardy souls (apparently I snore too much to share)
Sam can rough it with the youngsters.
Sam, Digby and Jamie will have sleeping bags

			-
I was hoping to pop along at least for a social stop. Sadly I'll have to miss out as the skiff is being sprayed this weekend, so I need to hang about in Soton.
Hope it's a goodun!

			-
Well it's not going to be frozen :)

			-
Nigel, you can pitch your bivvi wherever you like, but i will not be held responsible for your extremities.

			-
I can think of no better feeling than snuggling  into high quality down while the frost crisps up the turf and dawn in the mountains beckons...I suppose your garden will do as a substitute  :)
Happy to sleep indoors if there's room tho'

			-
Looking forward to this. Atum may need some attention when she gets there and we are going to arrive latish tomorrow(not before 9 I wouldn't have thought).

			-
I can have the garage warm and ready if it helps.

			-
I need to make and attach a gooseneck so a warm garage would be awesome. Will let you know if I manage to achieve it tonight though.

			-

I can think of no better feeling...
Except maybe Born Slippy taking almost no time at all to sail the length of Portland Harbour last year...

			-
too chuffing cold last night to do any sticking and there was a mountain of stuff in the way of getting the boat in the garage to get it warm. Took the old gooseneck off so just need to bog it back on in the right place this evening. Only minor damage sustained to the gooseneck in the removal process!

Yes, she does that :)

sweet dreamzzz on way tomorrow morning, First time 05 rules and twin wiring!!! could be wet wet wet.  See you all there, ade and joe hoping to stay at hotel trim tomorrow night, if thats ok.

			-
				Absolutely welcome.

			-
Just want to say a massive thank you to all at Chew this weekend. Had a great sail on Saturday with some very varied weather. Also to Hayley and Ro for putting us all up, you're stars! (ps you should find my iPhone charger in your spare room guys) if you could bring that to Sheppey that would be great.

			-
Fun weekend.  Thanks to everyone who came along. Match report to follow.
Si, got your charger and will try to remember to bring to sheppey. No use to us, unfortunately, next time can you make it a useful little usb thingy?  ;D

			-
It was great to get back on the water in E-Numbers.  We needed the practice.
I think team trim did an excellent job of finding people helms, crews and babysitters and in turn ensuring we got a good turn out.

			-
Job? Am honoured to be able to help pair the willing parties. On that note if anyone fancies coming to Sheppy then please get in touch. We can match boats/helms/crews and already have a few slots to play with.
Thanks all for such a great weekend.

			-
Thanks team Trim and co...had a great time
I was one of the snorers...in fact the loudest...do I get a prize?

			-
Thanks to everyone that helped me and Digby (Team Danger) get out on the water last weekend.
Big thanks to Nigel for driving us down to Chew, and the trims for a place to stay.
hopefully we will see everyone at sheppy, and other opens.

			-
Was there any racing completed on the Sunday? What were the results? I can't find them on the club website.

			-
Please ignore my last post as it seems I should have looked at the website for the race report.
Now I know I'm getting old.
