Title: Forestay eye (lowrider)

I've rescued (am in the process of rescuing) a lowrider moth. Amongst various small issues remaining now that the big hole in the bow is fixed is the forestay fitting. This is currently fitted with two bolts through the stem which appears to be crumbling because the loading is all wrong. I can remember years ago seeing a simple guide to bonding a forestay eye in place which directed all the load into compression of areas of the nose which would stand it. For the life of me I can't track it down, but I though somebody on here might be able to point me in the right direction?

Yes, I think it probably is. Probably not as directly applicable as I'd thought (without some preparatory minor surgery) So that will be a job to leave on the list for the winter. For the moment I think I'll take the ugly repair and go sailing.
