The protagonists:

Ronin.
Consistent but it's the mid range conditions, marginal two stringing and medium conditions they can struggle for pace against some boat. Handleing seems to be a strong point. In very light wind seems to do well aslong with 15+knts .
Weaknesses: The single stringing conditions.
Strengths: everything else

EJ
Nick has been a proven to be quick in most conditions the question is crew work, has he had enough time on the water with Jay to cause damage? How will he cope with an agressvie e5 hull. In Cheese or Madge he has been very competitive. So maybe boat control could start to play.
Weaknesses: time in sailing together
Strengths: fast hull

Banshee Ambulance
Showed alot of great promise in light/ medium conditions really pushing the top few, but with a new crew combination and new rig how's the boat handling? have they got the rig sorted in the stronger winds? Breakages have been the down fall at events, with a beefed up boat how is their windy sailing.?
Weaknesses: hates light wind/potential for breakages.
Strengths: time on the water

The Shiny Beast
With a regular crew, boat handeling is going to be good. Now with his turbo foil and his homebrewed jib, it will be interesting to see its performance. The hull having such agressive chines having to make sure its 100% all the time to maximise speed will be difficult.
Weaknesses: untested kit/12-18 knot wind
Strengths: light wind/heavy wind

The current forcast is for a lovely 11-14 knots on Saturday and 8-19 knots on Sunday.

All thats left to say is, Amici mittamus.
Thanks
Jamie

End of day 1. Rumours are of single stringing.

Ronin 7 points
Banshee 7 points
Ej 8 point
Shiny 9 points

Rumours are that the pub still does ribs

Four boats (Ronin, EJ, Banshee Ambulance and the Shiny Beast) made it to this event, which was shared with B14s, Musto Skiffs and RS700s. Jamie's Rutland-phobia appeared misplaced - not arctic at all; no gales; no mountainous waves.
Ronin dominated the event, winning all but one when their masthead unit disintegrated but managed to lock the kite halyard - with the kite up!
The results look more ordered than most of the racing actually was. At one stage Cherubs were 3 abreast at the windward mark, and places changed throughout the races, including right up to the finish.
The wind was up and down all weekend (Saturday 5-16 Sunday 6-15), both days with sunshine :)
Shifty as well, which caused a number of unexpected swims (across all the classes)

Results:
Ronin 1,1,4,1,1,1
Banshee 2,2,3,2,2,2
EJ 3,4,1,4,4,3
Shiny 4,3,2,3,3,4
