T Foils on 97 boats

 Hi any body got any thoughts about this .How much difference do they make, anyone got ideas about keeping it up as it where when there are no racks to attach shock cord to at correct angle to support rudder and gantry?

i had one on madge.  i used a push gas straight to keep it up.   (you just have to think of a different system compared to an 05 rules boats.  there are better ways of doing it.)

as soon as it was over 10knts it made a big difference and i had legs on other 97 rules boats at the nationals in weston a few years back.

From an enjoyment and simplicity perspective you are best off without one though.

You may also need to check that your transom is strong enough to support the loads.
